John Denver, a singer-songwriter born in Colorado who focused on folk-pop music that was a hit with millions of fans. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He fell in love with Colorado and moved to Aspen. Many people beat a path through Colorado due to Denver's famous songs for his home state. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated that John Denver is the only artist to represent Colorado. Denver was one of the very premier Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. He is now the symbol of Colorado for people worldwide. Certainly in my travels you meet someone from the other part of the globe, someone who is from New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado and the first word that comes they say is Oh John Denver! Brown admitted. Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time in a folk group, was Denver's debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff created the song using Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver saw an early rendition and listened to it, he was convinced that the track could become a hit single. The song was performed on stage in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver released the song a couple of days later.
