April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US is part of a select set of females who've won medals in several Olympics. Alix-Klineman will be competing with April Ross Tokyo for her third gold medal over the next couple of days. Ross is hoping to secure the Olympic the first medal of gold, but she is also aiming to win greater. There is a chance that she has one opportunity, given that she is 39 years old. However, she is convinced of winning top awards. Ross declared on NBC Boston: "If we perform our best and If we play our best, I think we could win the gold medal." "I'm planning to test some luck." Ross was born the 22nd, 1982 at Costa Mesa California. She lived there with her family. Her athletic career was continued by Newport Harbor High School where she participated in several sports. Apart from the indoor game, she also ran track and basketball in her pre-college days. However, she was a standout at this level. In her college profile, she played outside of the hitter, middle blocker and setter during her volleyball career at high school. She was awarded the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the Year in 1999, for her performance. Also, she won the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are doing what they do in the year 2017. However, Ross played a significant role in the world of beach volleyball before the pairing. Actually, Ross has won several major tournaments in her career with two partners. One of them is a legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 through 2013. Ross, Kessy's fellow teammate who was the winner of the world championship alongside Kessy in 2009, was also a major force on international stage. They went into winning a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the trio that could take home the gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. Both went on to win the bronze beach volleyball medal at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. In high school and the many years before hitting the sand professionally, Ross was a ball for the USC Trojans as an collegiate. The Trojans had a great career for Ross in the university. As a freshmen in 2000, her play earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman-of-the-Year honors. She was also one of the key players in helping the Trojans reach it to the Final Four. In her sophomore season, she experienced a terrible personal loss, yet earned the distinction of being an All-American. In her last two seasons as a member of the Trojans in the program they won victory by winning consecutive national championships. In 2003-2004, she was named the top collegiate female volleyball player in the US by the Honda Sports Award. Ross studied International Relations at USC. Margie Ross was never able to watch her daughter's rise to the beach volleyball spotlight. Ross lost the breast cancer that she battled in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. This meant that Ross is still close to her deceased parent. Margie has inspired her throughout her life, as well as on the beaches.
